Nostalgia

A dance of memories and dreams — abstract, vibrant, unresolved.

In this collection, I return to the fragments of my past—moments, places, and feelings that still flicker like old film frames.
Each work is a gentle attempt to hold on to what time has blurred, to reconnect with textures of home, voices once heard, streets once crossed.

At the heart of these paintings lies a personal duality: the richness and fragrance of the authentic Orient—my original home—and the modernity and creativity of the Western world, where I now live and work.
This tension between two worlds fuels my vision. The East offers depth, heritage, and warmth; the West brings motion, reinvention, and possibility.

These works are woven from a blend of emotions tied to places—both real and imagined. Some paintings evoke actual cities, homes, or landscapes I’ve known. Others spring from a dreamlike state, merging memory with imagination. The result is a fusion of lived experience and inner vision—spaces that feel familiar even if they don’t exist.

Through abstract forms, soft fades, and emotional layers, I translate this inner dialogue onto canvas.
Here, nostalgia is not only about longing—it becomes a space where memories and dreams meet, where presence converses with absence, and where identity finds form through color.

I invite you to feel your own echoes—your own quiet longing for a time, a place, or a feeling that never truly left you.

A longing for a place—once real, now wrapped in memory.

A street in an old neighborhood, from a time before mobile phones, social media, or virtual connections.

Back then, if you were searching for laughter, friendship, or even love—you simply walked down this street.

The painting speaks through color: a gentle blue for the boy, vibrant red and radiant purple for the girl.

Together, they evoke the lightness of youth and the unspoken warmth of shared moments.

A visual memory of joy, innocence, and human connection—before the world turned digital.

Nostalgia [SOLD]

Before the screen—there was us.

Ancient stones arch overhead, meeting in a graceful embrace. Their geometry holds stories—of prayers once whispered, and laughter once echoed by children who played without knowledge of worship or sanctity, drawn only to the sound and space.

This corridor, rich with history and mystery, is colored by time itself. Faded hues of once-vivid walls carry the memory of a place I once called refuge—an oriental haven suspended between reverence and play.

The painting blends depth and light: a path moving toward brightness, walls alive with warmth, and a structure grounded in symmetry. Through it all, a longing breathes—a nostalgia for a sacred space where hope lingered in the silence, and light promised return.

L'avenue Al-Kuiltawuia is the ancient alleyway where the fragrance of the East and the intersection of living quarters in one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. L'avenue Al-Kuiltawuia located in vicinity of the Citadel in Old Aleppo.

But accountability is not an alley in a particular city, but rather a place that may be in any area in one of the ancient cities, whether in the east or west, a place that fills the heart with joy and love.

The painting is an abstraction with a special chromatic philosophy. It is derived from basic colors and blended in a smart and unconventional professional way, with black lines and shadows that define the shapes that are very mysterious and in line with the general color composition, and here we do not forget the white woolen surfaces that mark the center of the balance of the painting.

It is an image from memory in which feelings interact between the charm of the East and the freshness of the West.

L'avenue Al-Kuiltawuia
City and Domes I, II [SOLD]

Ancient domes rise and overlap above the narrow eastern lanes—cities layered one upon another, shaped by the weight of successive civilizations.

The surfaces carry the traces of time: pale tones fading into silence, suddenly interrupted by bold strokes and the glimmer of vintage gold.

These paintings reflect both the fragility and strength of history—where architecture becomes memory, and color transforms into echoes of civilizations past.
