DISCOVER MY WORLD

Saèd Fanari, Self-Portrait 2021

A journey through my colours, vision, and soul.

The Philosophy Behind My Logo and Artistic Seal

The SAÈD FANARI ART GALLERY logo is a visual signature that embodies the essence of the artist’s identity and vision. At its core, it merges the stylized initials "S" and "F" with the symbolic form of an eye-a timeless emblem of perception, awareness, and artistic insight. This eye represents the artist's ever-watchful presence in the world around him, translating emotion, culture, and memory into form and color.

The choice of the Matura MT Script Capitals font reflects elegance and timelessness, echoing both classical refinement and personal expression. The curves of the typeface resonate with the fluidity and movement often found in Saèd Fanari’s abstract compositions.

The color palette speaks with quiet depth:

  • 231f20 (deep charcoal black): conveys strength, grounding, and artistic authority.

  • 7c7062 (muted taupe): brings warmth and earthiness, symbolizing the link between heritage and contemporary expression.

  • c2b59b (soft beige-gold): adds a refined glow, evoking light, wisdom, and the spiritual resonance present in each artwork.

Together, the stamp and logo serve as my personal seal-an assurance that every piece is an authentic creation by Saèd Fanari, carrying not only my name but also my vision, philosophy, and soul.

The main line of my works is abstract art, using powerful acrylic colours on canvas. The powerful colours in my compositions give them an iconic depth.

Sometimes I tend to use recycled materials or any available scrap/waste with various kinds of colours, but there is always an inherent balance and harmony which reveal my artistic visual sense.

My Main Line

Since early childhood, my dreamy personality had motivated me to train myself to see other people, places, and objects in a different way.

Therefore, I’ve always felt that the colours are behind creating things and recreating them. I don’t mean here only the basic visible colours which appear on the surfaces, but it’s about those deep invisible shapes, lines, colours, and dimensions which I receive-and translate-in my own vision, and which vary, up and down, according to my thoughts and feelings, and to my wavy imaginary levels.

My Own World of Colours

Arts were always an essential part of my life: in my education, in my career, and in my interests.
Having studied artistic design, I’ve worked for twenty-five years as a creator/concept designer, which obviously created a solid base and a tangible impact on my professional artworks and paintings later on.

My first drawing/painting steps started with the Impressionism school. I then moved to abstract art, passing through some other art methods and styles that influenced me, such as Rayonism and Futurism, in addition to the influence of some art masters, such as Theo van Doesburg, Piet Mondrian, and other artists, in a constant search for my own visual/artistic identity.

My Influencers

Saèd Fanari, At the Atelier, Amsterdam 2017

In my brimful life, major inspirations have inspired my artistic production, starting from my dual wings towards two different worlds simultaneously: the richness and fragrance of the authentic Orient (my original home), and the modernity and productivity of the Western world (where I’m based currently).

Other aspects of my life’s inspiration swing between two opposite dimensions which I’ve personally faced: the first is the hurtful stories, frustrations, disappointments, and the pain that inhabited my heart, and the second is the beautiful coincidences, good friends, hope, and love.

Those inspirations are reflected in the interactive moods and tones in my works, which melt into an interesting and composite outcome in the viewer's eyes.

My Life’s Inspirations

I’m an artist who moved from Aleppo city to Amsterdam, hoping to transfer the feeling of optimism through my canvases’ bright colours and vibrant form.

“I live in a house where no doors exist and no windows… I sometimes doubt whether the roof is even there! My house doesn’t contain a sofa, but it’s full of heart beats, sounds like the first movement of the piano sonata: Moonlight Melody!” - Saèd Fanari
